Waxing... good! Ingrown... bad!

Waxing must be done by a competent professional using the industry's best products. How do you know the difference? You get what you pay for! If you are sleuthing out the best waxing deals, buyers beware! Having said that, are things that you can do at home to reduce ingrown hairs. Exfoliate every morning, paying special attention to those areas that have a history of becoming ingrown. Secondly, right up to your next waxing appointment, moisturize with a good moisturizer, one that does not leave a waxy residue. Never moisturize any area that you wax the day of a waxing appointment.

If regular exfoliation and moisturizing still leave you with ingrown hairs, call your esthetician, she will want to see you and remove the ingrown. At least a reputable one will!
